Namibia’s National Assembly Launches Ambitious 2023-2027 Strategic Plan

WINDHOEK: The National Assembly of Namibia unveiled its strategic plan for the years 2023 to 2027, focusing on legislative effectiveness and service delivery. At the launch event, Speaker of the National Assembly Peter Katjavivi emphasized the institution’s commitment to embodying the values of accountability, integrity, patriotism, inclusivity, and teamwork.



According to The Namibia Press Agency, the plan is built on two strategic pillars: enhancing legislative, oversight, and representation effectiveness, and improving service delivery. He highlighted significant progress made in integrating information and communication technology through the e-Parliament initiative. Joyce Nakuta, the Director of Committee Services, reiterated the assembly’s people-centered approach and devotion to Namibia’s diversity. The strategy involves collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Anti-Corruption Commission and various civil society organizations, to foster accountability and transparency.
