Namibia Diamond Trading Company Sponsors Brave Gladiators

Windhoek: The Namibia Diamond Trading Company (NDTC) has announced a donation of N.dollars 200,000 to the Brave Gladiators, Namibia’s Women’s National Football Team, to support their hygiene and sanitary needs while on international duties. This sponsorship reflects NDTC’s commitment to empowering national representatives who promote Namibia globally.

According to The Namibian Press Agency, NDTC CEO Brent Eiseb stated that women’s football in Namibia has historically been underfunded, affecting both its growth and national team performance. Eiseb emphasized that NDTC’s investment goes beyond supporting sports achievements; it’s about inspiring future generations of female athletes in Namibia. He believes that the Brave Gladiators’ success on the field fosters national pride and breaks barriers in sports.

The sponsorship funds will be used to support the team’s hygiene and sanitary needs, with a portion allocated directly for this purpose. The rest of the funds have been distributed among the 34-member squad participating in the Olympic qualifiers and African Nations Cup qualifiers from August to October 2023.

Eiseb highlighted the significance of celebrating the women players’ achievements, equating them to diamonds and underscoring the importance of realizing their dreams and aspirations.
