Namentenga Sees Slight Decline in BEP and CAP Exam Success Rates in 2024

NAMENTENGA, Burkina - The final results for the 2024 session of the Brevet d'études professionales (BEP) and Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP) in Namentenga have been announced, revealing a success rate of 79.61%, a slight decrease from 2023's 80.98%. This year's examinations reflect the continuing dedication of students and educators under challenging circumstances.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of post-primary and secondary education in Namentenga, the slight drop in success rates from the previous year is notable but not drastic. The province saw 164 of 206 candidates successfully pass their exams in various vocational fields, including civil engineering masonry/construction, metal construction, electricity, commercial administration, and accounting.

The BEP exams had 83 successful candidates out of 124, resulting in a success rate of 66.93%, while the CAP exams achieved a notably higher success rate of 98.78%, with 81 out of 82 candidates passing. Yarbanga expressed his congratulations to all successful candidates and the educational community for their efforts and achievements amid the ongoing security challenges facing the region.
