Namentenga School Exams: 67 Candidates Absent from 2025 Written Tests

Namentenga: Out of 2,993 candidates registered for the Primary School Certificate (CEP), the First Cycle Studies Certificate (BEPC), the Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP), and the Professional Studies Certificate (BEP) for the 2025 session in the province of Namentenga, 67 students were unable to take part in the exams during the official launch of the written tests.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the exams saw a notable number of absentees, including 32 internally displaced students, comprised of 14 girls and 18 boys, who did not respond to the call. Specifically for the BEPC exam, 1,007 students were registered, with 24 absences noted. Additionally, the CAP and BEP exams registered 204 students, out of which 4 were absent.

The provincial directors in charge of preschool education, Ouiraogo Bernard Kabor©, and secondary education, Abdoulaye Sibiri Yarbanga, reported that overall, everything is proceeding smoothly for the 2025 school exams.
