Namentenga / School Exams 2026: 800 Candidates Participate in the Physical and Sporting Events of the BEPC, BEP and CAP

Namentenga: The physical and sports (EPS) tests for the Brevet d'etudes du premier cycle (BEPC), Brevet d'etudes professionnelles (BEP), and Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle (CAP) exams, 2026 session, were officially launched on May 6, 2026, in Boulsa, with the participation of approximately 800 candidates distributed across eight centers throughout the province of Namentenga. The kick-off was given at the Boulsa departmental high school center by the High Commissioner of the Namentenga province, Adama Conseiga, through the shot put event.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the province's top official urged the candidates to be courageous and calm. "Courage and good luck to the approximately 800 candidates spread across the province's eight centers," he declared, while encouraging them to remain focused and avoid stress in order to optimize their performance. He congratulated the actors in the education system for their commitment and encouraged all candidates in the province to give their best, reminding them that points obtained in PE can be decisive for admission.

The provincial director in charge of Secondary, Vocational and Technical Education, Sibiri Abdoulaye Yarbanga, highlighted that each candidate must perform floor gymnastics, with a choice to be made between the sprint and the endurance run, as well as between the jump and the shot put. He also pointed out that the coefficient for physical education is two, thus underscoring the importance of these tests in the final assessment.

On the ground, the candidates are displaying confidence. Amelie Tapsoba, a student at the Boulsa provincial high school, expressed her readiness to take on the challenge, stating, "I attend classes regularly."
