Boulsa: The prefect and President of the special delegation of Boulsa, Issaka Sangla, presided over the solemn ceremony of raising the colors, marking a first for the commune, with the presence of key community figures. During the event, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) outlined their forthcoming strategies aimed at minimizing the frequent and severe road accidents in the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, held on December 2, 2024, saw the local community, dressed predominantly in Faso danfani, actively participate in the event. The students contributed by singing the ditanyè in the national language moré. The FDS emphasized the need for reporting road accident cases and announced plans to hold awareness sessions on road safety, aiming to educate the public and reduce the number of accidents.
Issaka Sangla expressed his gratitude for the community’s strong turnout and extended New Year wishes for 2025, hoping it would be a year of achieving collective aspirations. He called
for a moment of silence to honor fallen fighters defending the homeland, highlighting the importance of national unity and social cohesion.
Sangla also stressed the need for administrative services to deliver quality to citizens and encouraged the community to embrace the national anthem in their language while supporting the fighting forces. He announced that the raising of the colours will henceforth occur on the first Monday of each month in various departments, serving as a platform for information sharing and community bonding.
