Namentenga: The Islamic Studies, Research and Training Circle (CERFI) offered food kits on Saturday to 513 orphans and vulnerable children in the Boulsa commune at the community center, with the aim of bringing smiles back to their faces and strengthening social solidarity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of CERFI, Ousseni Kouraogo, stated that this gesture is part of the ongoing effort to reduce inequalities and promote social cohesion in the Namentenga province. The initiative was held under the chairmanship of the 2nd Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Boulsa municipality, Moustapha Kebre.
The beneficiaries, from host and displaced communities, were identified in different sectors of the city with the support of local officials and the provincial directorate in charge of social action.
For the organizers, this 3rd edition of the community meal was made possible thanks to the mobilization of CERFI members and the support of the sponsor, El Hadji Karim Soudre, praised for his commitment to vulnerable groups.
On behalf of the parents of the beneficiary children, Ousseni Sawadogo expressed his gratitude to CERFI for this gesture of solidarity, while also wishing the organization success.
Present at the ceremony, the High Commissioner of the province, Adama Conseiga, welcomed the initiative and recalled the importance of social cohesion and the return of peace, while encouraging CERFI to continue its actions in favor of vulnerable populations.
The ceremony was marked by a Quranic reading and prayers for peace in Burkina Faso.
