Namentenga Province Installs Monitoring Committee for Boulsa “A” School Rehabilitation Project


OUAGADOUGOU — The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, inaugurated the monitoring committee for the rehabilitation of Boulsa “A” school on Friday, August 16, 2024, marking a significant step in the project led by the Nayinéré Association for the Development of Namentenga (ANDN). The project, funded by Japanese cooperation, aims to revitalize the school through substantial improvements.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Fulbert Bembamba, the project, which has a budget of 54,116,000 CFA francs, focuses on constructing a perimeter wall around the school, supplying various educational equipment, and repairing school buildings. The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of the committee’s role in ensuring the project’s success, noting that effective monitoring is crucial for achieving the ANDN’s goals and maintaining the trust of financial partners.



The committee comprises 13 members, including representatives from the ANDN, the high commission, the town hall, and the provincial directorate in charge of primary education. The Boulsa “A” school, established in 1944 during the reign of Naaba Saaga of Namentenga, is a historic institution in the province, and its rehabilitation is seen as vital for the community.
