Boulsa, Namentenga Province – The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, presided over the 2nd ordinary session of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) on November 29, 2023, in Boulsa.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session focused on the provisional diagnostic report of the Central-North Regional Development Plan (PRD/CN). He acknowledged the North Center regional council’s technical support and the UNDP’s contribution to the development of the regional framework.
During the session, participants reviewed and discussed various sectors within the provisional diagnostic report of the PRD/CN. Key issues raised included the need for improvements in the road network and health sector. Specific expectations mentioned were the construction of National Road 15, connecting roads between municipalities, a large morgue, and the fencing and radiology equipment for the Boulsa medical center with a surgical antenna (CMA). Additionally, the construction of a CMA in Tougouri was proposed.
The PRD 2018-2022’s results indicated that out of 1,039 planned activities, 298 were completed, with a financial execution rate of 29.65%. The members agreed to reconvene within a week to plan activities for the province. Discussions are ongoing regarding the supervision of the Regional Council’s activities in the province. Irwaya Augustin Ouédraogo, representing the regional council, expressed gratitude for the diligence and achievements of the participants.
