Namentenga Population Reaffirms Support for President Ibrahim Traor©

Namentenga: The population of Tougouri, in the province of Namentenga, reassured on Saturday, May 17, 2025, during the delayed march of last Wednesday, April 30, in support of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. The community expressed its unwavering support for the President's efforts in reconquering national territory and managing state affairs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the march, originally scheduled for April 30, 2025, took place with the presence of key figures including the special municipal delegation, military, paramilitary, and traditional authorities. Roland Lallogo, the president of the committee of civil society organizations, emphasized that the commune of Tougouri stands firmly with Captain Traor©, advocating for a sovereign and prosperous Burkina Faso.

The event also featured a speech from Pastor Robert Sawadogo, representing the traditional and religious authorities. He commended President Traor© for his accomplishments on both national and international stages while criticizing the actions of imperialism and stateless individuals. Sawadogo urged for the resettlement of internally displaced communities and the reinforcement of progress made against terrorism.

Sawadogo asserted that President Traor© represents hope for the nation and Africa, cautioning against any attempts to destabilize his leadership. Roland Lallogo echoed these sentiments, condemning any imperialistic maneuvers and highlighting the community's solidarity with the President.

The march was enriched by cultural performances, including Kiagba acts by women and mask displays from various villages in Tougouri, showcasing the cultural diversity and unity within the community.
