Namentenga: Muslim worshippers in Boulsa, in the Namentenga province of the Centre-North region, celebrated the Eid al-Adha, also known as the Tabaski festival, on Friday, June 6, 2025, during which they prayed for social cohesion. Grand Imam Mahamadi Ilboudo led the Tabaski prayer on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Boulsa, in the presence of many Muslim faithful, administrative authorities and traditional customs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on this occasion, Muslims prayed for social cohesion while wishing for a successful agricultural season. Imam Ilboudo also urged a definitive return of peace to Burkina Faso. He expressed his best wishes to the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, his government, the fighting forces and the province of Namentenga.
The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, thanked all those who, through their prayers, work tirelessly to promote living together, social cohesion and peace, in his territorial jurisdiction in particular and in Burkina Faso in general. Seizing the opportunity, Mr. Conseiga wished the Muslim faithful a happy holiday. The immolation of the sheep by the Grand Imam of Boulsa gave others the right to do the same.
After the prayer, Muslim leaders went to the palace of the chief of Boulsa canton to give him blessings.
