Namentenga Communication Efforts: Regional Director Engages with Media Managers

Namentenga: The Regional Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (DRCCAT) of the Center-North, Safiata Oubda, engaged with media managers in Boulsa to foster the production of information aimed at promoting social cohesion. During the meeting on June 20, 2025, Oubda emphasized the importance of media contributions in enhancing community unity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event saw participation from provincial, customary, and traditional authorities, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative and extended their best wishes to Ms. Oubda. She articulated her dual purpose of introducing herself to the local authorities and media managers and presenting her mission letter.

Throughout her visit, Safiata Oubda met with key figures, including the High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, and the head of the canton of Boulsa, Naaba Sonr©. She also engaged with radio presenters from Nayin©r© and Pogn©r©, along with the correspondent of the Burkina Information Agency, acknowledging their efforts in promoting social well-being through their work.

The Regional Director of Communications urged media personnel to verify their information sources before dissemination, emphasizing the critical role of accurate reporting. Private media managers expressed a desire to be included in future training and events within the province, highlighting the collaborative spirit fostered during the engagement.

Safiata Oubda assumed her role as the DRCCAT of the Center-North on January 15, 2025, marking her commitment to enhancing communication efforts in the region.
