Namentenga Celebrates Success at Regional Culture Week with Boulsa Canton Chief

Namentenga: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Boulsa, Issaka Sangla, led a delegation on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to present the results of the regional culture week in Kaya 2025 to the customary and traditional chief of the canton of Boulsa, Naaba SonrE. The delegation included the Provincial Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (DPCCAT), Francis SakandE, troop supervisors, and winners from the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the traditional chief of the canton of Boulsa, Naaba SonrE, expressed his congratulations for the performances that honored the province of Namentenga. He praised the efforts of all participants and extended his good wishes to the ambassadors of the province who qualified for the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2026, hoping for further success in future events.

Artists from the Namentenga province participated in 12 disciplines and led in five of them. The regional qualifiers saw commendable results, as emphasized by the DPCCAT, Francis SakandE. Some notable achievements included Adriel YamEogo's first place in slam, the Wanrougdo troupe of Boulsa leading in traditional instrumental music for young people, and Adiara Kafando's top position in culinary arts. The province also secured third place in archery and 20th in traditional wrestling.

Before their journey to the elimination stages in Kaya, the artists received blessings from the traditional and customary chief of Boulsa, reinforcing their commitment to excel in their respective disciplines.
