Nahouri: Education stakeholders in the Ziou Basic Education District (CEB) held their first back-to-school meeting on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, to discuss several points under the chairmanship of the Head of the Ziou Basic Education District (CCEB), Augustin Kaghembega. They were encouraged to work diligently.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting aimed to review the harmonized curriculum for the first term, assess progress in the final year of primary school (CM2), and outline the challenges faced by teachers in these grades. This first meeting of 2026, held on January 7, emphasized resilience, excellence, and patriotism.
The gathering was attended by pedagogical advisors, office heads, school principals, and CM2 teachers, who all focused on the goal of improving educational outcomes. Augustin Kaghembega, the Head of the Ziou Basic Education District, congratulated the teachers on their remarkable achievement of a pass rate exceeding 99.02% on the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) in the previous session.
Mr. Kaghembega also urged all participants to demonstrate increased zeal and selflessness in their efforts, with the aim of reaching or surpassing the Nazinon region's target of 95% for the CEP in the current session. He conveyed his wishes for health, prosperity, and success to all involved stakeholders.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a friendly atmosphere and a strong sense of commitment from all participants.
