Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the Nahouri Province, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, presided over the first official raising of the national flag in P´, Nahouri Province, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He called on all stakeholders to show solidarity with vulnerable people, to pray for the armed forces, and to rally around presidential and local initiatives.
According to Burkina Information Agency, leading figures of Nahouri province, along with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) of the P´ garrison, attended the first official raising of the national flag this year, 2026. The victory anthem, followed by the raising of the colors and a message from the High Commissioner of Nahouri province, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, formed the core of this inaugural flag-raising ceremony.
He stated that gathering around the national flag aims to strengthen civic spirit, magnify commitment to republican values, and promote cohesion among the various institutional and social components of the province.
The provincial authority called upon the constituted bodies to show solidarity with vulnerable people, the elderly, and internally displaced persons (IDPs), and to pray for the combat forces engaged in operations.
Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam also urged them to support the national solidarity campaign Deme-Sira, which ends on January 31, 2026, and the local initiative "One Village, One Motorcycle for the VDP," to enable the latter to consolidate their gains in territorial security.
"Every action you take, whatever its nature, allows us to be independent," the provincial authority emphasized.
The High Commissioner of Nahouri Province called for social cohesion and for strengthening ties between the population and, on the other hand, between the population and the security forces.
For this first flag-raising ceremony of the year, the provincial directorate in charge of primary education hosted the various constituted bodies.
