Nahouri Peace Effort: Food and Cash Worth Over 3 Million FCFA Donated to VDP of Ziou

Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, received food and a sum of 1,632,875 CFA francs for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Ziou, a commune located approximately fifty kilometers from P´. The initiative, supported by his special delegation, aims to bolster the efforts of these volunteers.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the VDP of Ziou received a substantial donation that includes 20 tonnes of corn, 15 bags of 25 kg rice, small millet, sorghum, peanuts, unhulled rice, and a financial package amounting to 1,632,875 CFA francs. The President of the Special Delegation of Ziou, Salam Maran©, stated that the community acknowledges the significant role the VDP, under the guidance of the Defense and Homeland Forces, play in securing the nation.



“The special delegation aims to show appreciation and gratitude to the men and women who have committed themselves to defending our homeland,” Maran© expressed. Highlighting the communal effort, he added, “Since not everyone can be on the frontline, those of us who remain at home support them by providing food and fuel to facilitate their mobility.”



The High Commissioner, Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, commended the people of Ziou for their patriotic and commendable gesture. Meanwhile, Captain Seidou Abasse Niampa, the provincial coordinator of the VDP, emphasized that the donation would enhance both defensive and offensive security operations conducted by the VDP.
