Nahouri: The Secretary General of the Nahouri Province, Emile Hien, launched the second edition of the P´ Prison Director's Cup. For two weeks, 16 teams from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and civilians will compete in a football tournament under the theme: "Sport, solidarity and civic engagement: together to build a resilient nation."

According to Burkina Information Agency, the promoter, Assetou Ouattara, director of the P´ prison, stated that this competition aims to break down barriers and strengthen ties between citizens, prisoners, and the forces committed to the security of the country. She emphasized that the tournament also contributes to the social reintegration of prisoners through sport, while humanizing the prison environment.

The opening match saw the commando team from the National Commando Training Center (CNEC) of P´ defeat the inmates of the detention center with a score of 4 goals to 1. The final is scheduled for May 23, 2026, and will take place on the prison grounds.
