Nahouri/P´ Municipality Achieves Budget Surplus of Over 126 Million CFA Francs

Nahouri: The special delegation of the commune of P´, located in the province of Nahouri, recently concluded its first ordinary session of the year 2026, held on March 30 and 31. The central focus of this session was the adoption of the first amended budget for 2026, which amounted to 584,981,440 CFA francs, showcasing a substantial surplus exceeding 126 million CFA francs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of P´, Ilassa Dianda, urged the members to engage in open and productive discussions to effectively tackle the challenges anticipated during this initial session. The budget draft was presented by the director of accounting and budget, Josephine Bassorobou, with support from municipal treasurer Olivier Zoundi. The amended budget for 2026 is balanced in terms of revenue and expenditure, with allocations of 255,563,230 CFA francs for operations and 335,304,910 CFA francs for investments.

The amended budget received unanimous approval from 16 out of 18 members present, empowering the PDS to present it to the regional technical committee. Mr. Dianda expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in revenue mobilization and encouraged members to further enhance these efforts by educating the public. He emphasized that this commitment was instrumental in achieving a net operating surplus of 126,221,273 CFA francs.

Throughout the session, members reviewed and passed resolutions concerning financial and administrative matters. As the two-day session concluded, Ilassa Dianda commended the team spirit that characterized the proceedings and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the technical services in supporting the special delegation.
