Nahouri: The Muslim community of Nahouri organized a joint fast-breaking ceremony on March 21, 2025, at N©maro Square in P´. Constituted bodies, Muslims, Christians, and traditionalists gathered around a single meal.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was initiated by the Muslim community of Nahouri with the aim to strengthen the bonds of fraternity, solidarity, and social cohesion between the different communities living in Nahouri. The organizers emphasized that this collective break was a step towards building a harmonious society.
El hadj Abdoulaye Gnan©, the president of the Muslim community of Nahouri, expressed that the initiative demonstrates a shared desire to promote dialogue and build bridges for peace. He stated that differences should be seen as a richness that invites understanding and cooperation among all.
"Dear brothers and sisters, Ramadan reminds us that peace and cohesion are not just ideals, but responsibilities that fall to each of us," he said, highlighting that acts of kindness, solidarity, and reconciliation contribute significantly to societal harmony.
Representatives from the Christian and traditional communities, along with the general secretary of the province, commended the Muslim community for this pioneering initiative in the province. They emphasized that promoting the values of cohesion and acceptance is essential for the peace of Burkina Faso.
The representatives expressed hope that such initiatives would continue for the benefit of all communities. The evening concluded with prayers and ongoing exchanges among the participants.
