Nahouri Launches Tax Compliance Initiative to Boost Local Infrastructure

Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the Nahouri Province, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, launched the 'Exemplary Tax Compliance Days' in P´ on Tuesday, March 3, 2025, marking the start of an intensive campaign to mobilize local resources. He urged the population to pay their personal taxes to enable the State to develop quality infrastructure.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of Taxes of Nahouri, San Drissa Traore, emphasized that these days aim to mobilize resources through citizen consent to taxation, develop practices that contribute to a culture of fiscal civic responsibility, and restore and maintain trust between the governed and the governing.

To demonstrate commitment, the High Commissioner of the Nahouri province, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, along with his delegation, were the first to fulfill their tax obligations, including the Residence Tax (TR) and the Motor Vehicle Tax (TVM).

"I urge the population to pay their personal taxes, because it is this endogenous mobilization that will allow the State to build quality infrastructure," stated Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, following his visit to the tax counter.

Throughout this month dedicated to exemplary tax practices, the teams at the Provincial Directorate will remain available to facilitate procedures and assist taxpayers. The provincial director of taxes in Nahouri assured that measures are in place to allow each citizen to pay their taxes and duties efficiently.

It is noteworthy that these days were established throughout the national territory by a ministerial decree in June 2024, under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, aiming to strengthen the financial autonomy of Burkina Faso.
