Ouagadougou: Aime Gue, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the T®ebele commune, received 500 books on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in T®ebele. The donation was made to the private high school, the Lycee L'Excellence, and the commune's primary and nursery schools. The initiative was undertaken by the Nature et Culture Burkina association and its partners.
According to Burkina Information Agency, by handing over these books to the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of T®ebele, Aime Gue, the Nature and Culture Burkina association in collaboration with its partners aims to improve the level of learners in a world where the internet is increasingly engaging young people.
In total, 500 books consisting of dictionaries, French-English, French-German, mathematics books, novels, modern 20th-century literature, encyclopedic works, educational books for early childhood, and entertainment novels were donated.
For the donor, Marc Olivier, president of the Association Nature et Culture Burkina (ANC-B), this donation is part of the dynamic of the highest authorities of the country who wish to prioritize youth and education in development.
"We hope that these works will benefit as much as possible all student teachers and even other social groups in the community," said Marc Olivier.
The PDS, on behalf of all actors in the education system and students throughout the municipality, welcomed the gesture of the donor, his partners, and the selection of the municipality of T®ebele for this donation.
According to the municipal authority, this donation could strengthen readers' knowledge and also improve students' learning conditions.
Aime Gue also invited the beneficiaries to use the works wisely and encouraged other associations to follow in the footsteps of the Nature and Culture Burkina association.
Mr. Gue also reassured the donor that the municipality, through its special delegation, is committed to undertaking and supporting such initiatives for the benefit of the entire community.
It should be noted that the Nature et Culture Burkina association, in partnership with the Horizons et des Hommes-France association, Parfums Christian Dior, and the SILAB company, has funded several social activities in the municipality of T®ebele.
Marc Olivier, an ethnobotanist, holds a doctorate in science and is a knight of the national order of Burkina Faso. He has been living in Burkina Faso for over 25 years.
