Nahouri: The president of the special delegation of the commune of P´, Ilassa Dianda, launched the communal sanitation week in P´ this Wednesday, May 28, 2025. For one week, the town of P´ will be rid of its solid waste.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the N©maro de P´ square served as the venue for the official launch of the fifth edition of the municipal sanitation week. The initiative calls upon the residents to engage in making their surroundings clean and pleasant. Awareness-raising sessions are planned in various sectors and the village of Dakola to encourage the community to adopt eco-citizenship values, as highlighted by Ilassa Dianda.
The initial day saw participation from residents of the P´ prison, who took to cleaning the town’s gutters. This move was applauded by Ilassa Dianda, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. At the close of a day marked by patriotic dedication, Dianda commended the continuous engagement of the community and encouraged all parties to actively participate for the success of the sanitation week, aiming for a cleaner and more livable environment.
Support for this initiative comes from the project to improve solid sanitation governance in 19 medium-sized towns in Burkina Faso (PAGAS 19), which is benefiting the municipality during this week-long event.
