Ouagadougou: Nadège Yé of Éditions Sidwaya has been awarded the 2023 Marie-Soleil Grand Prix, recognizing her as the best female journalist of the year. This accolade highlights her contributions in the written press category, continuing a legacy of excellence for her publication.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the annual competition is organized by the Norbert Zongo National Press Center, which seeks to honor the memory of Marie Soleil-Frère, a distinguished Belgian-Burkinabe journalist known for her significant work in African media. This is the second consecutive year that Éditions Sidwaya has claimed these prestigious awards, with Mariam Ouédraogo having won the same honors in 2022.

The Marie-Soleil Grand Prix is highly regarded in the journalism community, celebrating outstanding work by female journalists and promoting excellence in media across the region.
