Benguela: Nacional de Benguela secured a spot in the semifinals of the 43rd edition of the National Women's Youth Handball Championship by defeating the Obra Social da Maxinde team with a score of 27 to 25 at the Matrindindi pavilion. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Benguela team was leading by a narrow 15-14 margin at halftime and managed to maintain that advantage until the end of the match. The quarterfinals also saw Mora do Virei winning against Kamba with a score of 23-19, Petro de Luanda edging out Maculusso 23-21, and CPPL defeating Aliança 30-21. There will be a break on Tuesday, with the semifinals scheduled for Wednesday. Nacional de Benguela will face Mora do Virei from Namibe, while Petro de Luanda will compete against CPPL. The tournament, running from August 12th to 22nd, features 12 teams divided into two groups (A and B), with the top four teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Casa do Pessoal do Porto do Lobito (CPPL) is the defending champion of this competition.
