Myanmar Police Seize Over 9.7 Million Stimulant Tablets in Major Drug Bust

Nay Pyi Taw: Myanmar authorities have seized more than 9.7 million stimulant tablets and several kilograms of synthetic drugs in central Myanmar, as reported by a state-owned daily. The operation, which took place in Minhla and Pyinmana townships in the Magway region and Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, was conducted by anti-narcotics police from May 9 to 11.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the narcotics confiscated during the operations included approximately 9.798 million stimulant tablets, 5 kilograms of ICE (methamphetamine), 1 kilogram of ketamine, and 2.915 kilograms of “happy water,” a synthetic drug. The authorities conducted the raids after receiving a tip-off, leading to a significant drug seizure in the region.



Nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the case. They have been charged under Myanmar’s laws, and further investigations are ongoing to uncover more details related to the drug operations.
