Myanmar Police Destroy Over 100 Acres of Poppy in Eastern State

Taiyuan: Myanmar's police have destroyed 113 acres of opium poppy fields in Hsi Hseng Township of Shan state in the east, the state-run daily Myanma Alinn reported on Thursday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the operation began on Feb. 15, with police and local authorities working together to clear the fields. The report highlighted that police are continuing operations to eradicate the remaining poppy fields in the township.
