Muslim Faithful in Ouargaye Pray for Peace and Stability in Burkina Faso

OUARGAYE – The Muslim community of Ouargaye gathered on Sunday to pray for peace and stability in their province of KoulpĂ©logo and across Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Agence d’Information du Burkina (AIB) who were present at the event, the prayers were part of a larger plea for tranquility in the region.

The event was led by Imam Amadou Bagagnan, who in his sermon, paid tribute to the security forces, acknowledging their efforts in maintaining peace in Koulpelogo. He also welcomed a Christian delegation to the gathering, emphasizing unity among religious groups. The ceremony concluded with Imam Bagagnan performing the ritual sacrifice of a sheep, a key part of the Tabaski celebrations.
