Koosin: The Grand Mosque of Nouna recently hosted a significant prayer session aimed at invoking divine intervention for the return of peace to Burkina Faso. This event saw the participation of administrative, military, and religious leaders, reflecting the collective desire for stability in the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the prayer session was led by Grand Imam El Hadji Adama Konate, who underscored the duty of the Islamic Ummah to foster genuine peace through consistent prayer and charitable acts. The gathering was marked by Quranic readings, blessings from various imams, and a symbolic offering of a bull, all intended to fortify the community's spiritual appeal for tranquility.

High Commissioner of Koosin Province, Noufo Dembele, addressed the attendees, expressing gratitude for their efforts towards peace. He acknowledged the vital roles played by the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the ongoing revival of Nouna. Dembele also conveyed appreciation from the nation's top authorities, emphasizing the importance of the community's prayers in supporting the province's inhabitants.

The event was notable for its inclusion of women, whose participation was especially valued by Noufo Dembele. The presence of other faith representatives further exemplified the established interfaith dialogue aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence among different religious communities.
