According to Burkina Information Agency, the Imam urged Muslims to avoid hate speech and divisive religious sermons, promoting social peace and harmony. The Eid al-Adha celebration served as a moment of reflection and community for the faithful, who prayed for the country's return to stability.
As part of the Tabaski ritual, the sacrifice of a ram was performed, followed by prayers for peace and stability in Burkina Faso. Imam Fofana prayed for the souls of the departed, protection for the fighting forces, and blessings for the president in his peace efforts.
The event saw participation from various community leaders, including customary, Catholic, and municipal authorities, who joined in prayer for peace and religious coexistence. Village chief Drissa Yaro expressed joy in being part of the celebration and prayed for God's mercy, good rainfall, and an end to the ongoing conflict.
