Windhoek: Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) on Wednesday inaugurated its first flagship mobile home at the Grove Mall of Namibia in Windhoek.
According to Namibia Press Agency, According to MTC, the new store offers a full range of products and services, including key accounts, business unit services, and self-service touchpoints, within a modern and interactive environment.
Speaking at the launch, MTC Chief Commercial Officer, Octivius Kahiya, highlighted that the facility represents more than just a retail outlet. He described the new store as a hub for connection, innovation, and engagement, where customers can access faster service, expert assistance, and a more immersive experience.
Kahiya added that the investment forms part of the company's broader strategy to improve accessibility and decentralize service points across the country. He noted that MTC plans to open additional mobile homes in Okongo in the Ohangwena Region and Kuisebmond in Walvis Bay during the second quarter of 2026. The development follows the opening of five mobile homes last year in Omuthiya, Divundu, and Windhoek, while Katima Mulilo and Rundu each received a second facility.
In a separate interview with Nampa, MTC General Manager of Sales, Enterprise, and CRM Commercial, Elton Katangolo, stated that the flagship mobile home features advanced self-service kiosks, an exclusive VIP area, and increased teller capacity to enhance customer experience. Katangolo remarked that the launch marks a significant milestone as it showcases a flagship retail space reflecting how MTC serves its customers, while also offering a broader enterprise experience across mobile, fintech, home, and the wider MTC ecosystem.
MTC further noted that as part of its strategy to bring services closer to communities, the company opened five mobile homes last year in Omuthiya, Divundu, and Windhoek, while Katima Mulilo and Rundu each received additional facilities.
