Windhoek: The Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government's national development agenda by investing in sectors such as education, arts, and sports. This announcement was made during the 30th anniversary celebration of MTC, where Managing Director Licky Erastus emphasized the company's dedication to enhancing Namibia and improving the lives of its citizens.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Erastus highlighted the progress achieved over the past three decades but stressed the need for continued innovation and transformation. He stated that MTC is committed to sustainably supporting various sectors, including arts and culture, sports, education, health, poverty alleviation, and entrepreneurship. The company aims to play a vital role in fostering social and economic advancements within the country.
Erastus underscored the importance of education for MTC, noting that as the company celebrates its 30-year milestone of bridging the digital divide and providing world-class ICT services, it recognizes the need for further improvements in the lives of Namibians. He emphasized prioritizing education to prepare future generations of innovators and leaders who will uphold integrity and ensure equitable interests for all Namibians.
In his address, Erastus also expressed gratitude to MTC stakeholders for their ongoing support, acknowledging the loyalty of customers who have stood by the company through various challenges and successes.
