Tinderet: Tinderet Member of Parliament Julius Melly Friday convened a strategic meeting with critical stakeholders in the constituency to evaluate the status of ongoing projects. Melly highlighted the importance of timely project execution to maximize benefits for local residents.
According to Kenya News Agency, the meeting, attended by staff from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) and the Uwezo Fund at the Maraba NG-CDF office, focused on ensuring efficient and effective implementation of all development programs. Melly emphasized the need for timely completion of projects to deliver tangible benefits to Tinderet residents and reduce delays that could impact service delivery.
Melly urged NG-CDF and Uwezo Fund officials to execute ongoing and upcoming projects within set timelines. He stressed the importance of timely processing and disbursement of bursaries and grants to ensure community members, including students and local groups, receive necessary resources without delay.
Further, Melly called for enhanced coordination between project implementers, fund administrators, and local leaders to eliminate bottlenecks that have previously impeded development work. He advocated for regular monitoring and reporting of projects, with clear feedback mechanisms to swiftly address challenges.
The meeting also explored strategies to increase community participation in development programs, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts between the NG-CDF, Uwezo Fund, and constituency leadership to ensure initiatives yield significant social and economic benefits.
