Mozambique Plans to Tax E-commerce Starting 2024 to Boost State Revenue

Maputo—The government of Mozambique is considering implementing taxes on e-commerce starting from the financial year 2024 to bolster state income.

According to a new release by Africa News Agency, the Tax Authority has established a taxation unit focused on the analysis and adaptation of taxing cross-border digital services to Mozambique’s specific conditions and international comparative experience.
