Luanda: The centre-east Province of Moxico emerged victorious with a total of 50 medals in four sports at the 13th edition of the National School Games, which took place in Luanda from August 8th to 30th this year. Moxico’s achievements included gold medals in men’s handball and 32 victories across men’s football, athletics, and women’s handball.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Alfeu Justo, also known as “Zé Gordo” and the spokesperson for the Moxico Delegation, shared insights into the event. He highlighted the significant progress made by Moxico, noting an improvement from 5th place in the previous edition held in Huíla, to securing 2nd place in the recent games.
Furthermore, Justo pointed out that basketball was the only sport in which Moxico did not secure any medals. The province competed in football, basketball, athletics, and handball, with a contingent of eight athletes, 40 of whom were female.

ing handball, football, basketball, athletics, volleyball, and gymnastics.
