Luena: The Moxico Government plans to invest 21 billion Kwanzas aimed for the construction and renovation of four structural projects in the city of Luena, the director of the Provincial Office of Studies, Planning and Statistics (GEPE), Osvaldo Dias, announced on Wednesday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, these projects include 30 kilometers of asphalt paving in the Social da Juventude and Sinai Novo neighborhoods on the outskirts of Luena, the renovation of a primary school (Vala), as well as of the Regional Physical Rehabilitation Center, which was reopened in 2018.
These projects, which fall under the Public Investment Program, are expected to be implemented starting next May. The projects are part of the government's initiative aimed at guaranteeing the well-being of the local population.
In addition to the aforementioned projects, Osvaldo Dias also reiterated the resumption of 15 stalled construction projects in the province, including five schools and a residential building to accommodate staff from the Local State Administration in the municipality of Lumbala Nguimbo.
Moxico is one of Angola's 21 provinces, with a population of 574,253 living in the municipalities of Luena capital city of the province, Camanongue, L©ua, Lucusse, Lutembo, Lumbala Nguimbo, Ninda, Chiºme, Cangamba, Alto-Cuito, Cangumbe and Lituai.
