Ouagadougou: The Centre for Continuing Education and Youth Development (CEPDJ) of Ouarkoye has taken an important step with the provisional acceptance, on Monday, June 29, 2026, of its rehabilitated main building as well as new latrines. The handover ceremony brought together representatives of the project owner, the relevant technical services, the company in charge of carrying out the work, as well as the various partners involved in the project.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the acceptance committee conducted a thorough inspection of the completed infrastructure during the technical visit. The fully rehabilitated main building, the newly constructed latrine blocks, and other improvements were inspected to verify their compliance with technical standards and specifications. Following the checks, the members of the commission expressed their satisfaction with the overall quality of the work carried out. However, some technical reservations have been made and will need to be addressed by the company before the final acceptance of the work.
The project leaders stated that this rehabilitation aims to sustainably improve the conditions for welcoming, supervising, and training young people in the commune of Ouarkoye. The work was funded by the NGO Tanager, whose intervention is part of a dynamic of strengthening socio-educational infrastructure for the benefit of youth. Thanks to these new facilities, the CEPDJ will have a more functional and better-suited environment for its missions of training and supporting young people.
The renovated infrastructure is expected to help strengthen the capacities of beneficiaries through skills development activities, promotion of entrepreneurship, and socio-professional integration. The stakeholders involved praised the quality of the partnership that enabled the completion of the project and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the development and empowerment of young people.
This provisional acceptance is therefore a crucial step before the final handover of the infrastructure. It demonstrates the partners' commitment to providing the youth of Ouarkoye with modern and suitable facilities, capable of effectively supporting local development efforts and the promotion of human capital.
