Mouhoun/OSCLEP in Douroula: Douroula B School Crowned Champion

Mouhoun: The activities of the Sports and Cultural Organization at the Primary School (OSCLEP) concluded on Thursday, May 8, 2026, at the Douroula A Public Primary School in the Mouhoun Province, under the theme: 'Promoting Patriotic Education through Sports and Cultural Activities.' The Douroula 'B' team emerged victorious with a score of 3-1, thus winning the trophy for this edition.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony, held under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Bankui region, Adjara Sandrine Kient©ga/Ou©draogo, was attended by administrative, educational, and municipal authorities as well as many students and parents of students. The event's sponsor, Professor Lassina Kot©, a teacher-researcher in prehistory and archaeology at Joseph Ki-Zerbo University, praised the importance of education and the transmission of cultural, civic, and patriotic values to younger generations.

As an incentive for academic excellence, he offered LED lamps to the best students to support their studies. Schools competed in various artistic and cultural disciplines, including singing, poetry, theatre, lip-syncing, and drawing. At the end of the competitions, Douroula ''B'' school won first prizes in compulsory song and poetry, while Kirikongo ''A'' school distinguished itself in song of choice and in playback. Kirikongo B school, for its part, dominated the theatre competition. The various winners received awards consisting of prizes in kind and cash prizes.

The final of the football tournament pitted the Douroula "A" schools against Douroula "B." After a hard-fought match, the Douroula ''B'' team won by a score of 3 goals to 1, thus winning the trophy of this edition. Educational and administrative officials praised the resilience of those involved in education in a context marked by the challenges related to the resumption of school activities in the municipality. They also reaffirmed the school's role as a crucible for training a patriotic, responsible Burkinab¨ citizen committed to defending the values of national sovereignty.
