The department heads of the Regional Directorate of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DREPS) of Boucle du Mouhoun, held their internal council on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Dédougou under the chairmanship of the Regional Director of Post -primary and secondary education (DREPS) of Boucle du Mouhoun, Dr Denis Vimboue.
The internal council of the Regional Directorate of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DREPS) of Boucle du Mouhoun is a regular meeting which allows the various heads of departments of the directorate to take stock of the activities and to be informed about the activities of their structure.
This activity, which is held on the eve of the new school year, constitutes the first meeting to restart activities for the 2023-2024 school year.
The session chairman, Dr Denis Vimboué, paid vibrant tribute to his colleagues for the quality of the collaboration and the performances obtained.
“You have done much more than what is expected of you, so that DREPS can achieve the expected results,” he said.
He also recognized the commitment of all stakeholders which made it possible to meet the challenge of organizing school exams for the 2023 session in a difficult security context.
To do this, he urged his colleagues to stay the course to succeed in the 2023-2024 school year.
“The school year has just started. It will also be a year of challenges. I urge you in your respective departments to organize yourselves better, to think outside the box so that together, in a synergy of actions, we can face our responsibilities. The regional authorities are counting on us. The hierarchy expects a lot from us. The parents of students, most of whom are worried, place all their hope in our ability to invent a reassuring future for their children in an environment marked by a lot of uncertainty,” he explained.
The opportunity was given to each department head to present the activities carried out and to receive advice and guidance for improving performance.
The general assessment presented by each head of service is satisfactory despite certain difficulties which exist and are mainly linked to the security situation which has profoundly affected the region.
In view of the results presented, Dr Denis Vimboue urged his colleagues to be more dynamic in promoting the management’s various activities and hoped that the quality of collaboration should be maintained, which must be characterized by probity and courtesy.
“We are linked in a chain. We will have to be in the dynamic of summarizing activities. Each of us has made the commitment to give the best of ourselves for the success of the activities,” he concluded.
