Mouhoun: On the occasion of the national initiative "Patriotic Hour to Green Faso", the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Bondoukuy, Lazare Bado, took part, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, alongside the constituted bodies, in the large-scale operation aimed at planting five million trees across the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the local mobilization was exemplary this Saturday in Bondoukuy to participate in the patriotic hour to green Faso. The coordination of the citizen watch, the military detachment, the Water and Forestry agents, the national police, as well as the customary and religious authorities, joined forces to mark the municipality's support for this initiative supported by the highest authorities of the country.
In his speech, the municipal authority expressed his deep gratitude to all the participants for the success of this green activity, a symbol of civic engagement and environmental responsibility. The Citizen Watch Coordination, accompanied by its representatives at the village level, symbolically handed over seedlings to certain customary and religious authorities, thus affirming its support for the vision of Captain Ibrahim Traor©, Head of State.
Thanks to this dynamic, 3,500 trees were planted on several strategic sites, notably in the communal forest and within the Bondoukuy military camp, illustrating the commune's resolute commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.
