Mouhoun: The provincial coordination of the Patriotic Vigilance Movement of Faso in Mouhoun organized a collective breaking of the fast in Dedougou, emphasizing spirituality, sharing, and social cohesion.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aligns with the solidarity spirit of the fasting period shared by Muslim and Christian communities, attracting several administrative, regional, provincial, and municipal authorities, as well as customary and religious leaders and various active forces in the locality.
The provincial coordinator, Salimatou Compaore, highlighted the event's aim to strengthen bonds of fraternity and solidarity across religious communities. Compaore emphasized that differences in beliefs should foster tolerance and unity around patriotic values for the nation's greater interest.
Boureima Ouedraogo, the Secretary General of Mouhoun province, expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the importance of sharing and solidarity for national development. He praised the movement for promoting values of solidarity and tolerance among different religious faiths.
A representative of the customary authorities also lauded the initiative for enhancing cohesion among the province's communities, offering blessings and prayers for peace and stability in Burkina Faso.
