Mouhoun/Day of Academic Excellence in the CEB of Tch©riba: Yayou Traor© from Z©kuy School A Crowned Super Teacher 2026

Ouagadougou: The Tch©riba Basic Education District (CEB) celebrated the third edition of its School Excellence Days on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the village of Tikan. This initiative aims to promote a culture of achievement and reward the most deserving individuals in the local education system. The CEB's "Super Teacher" award was given to Yayou Traor© of Z©kuy Primary School A.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized under the theme "School excellence: a collective challenge for integrated development" and led by the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Tch©riba, W. Aim© Jules Ouarm©. It brought together administrative and educational authorities, school partners, and the public to celebrate the results achieved during the 2025-2026 school year.

The performances recorded by the CEB particularly stood out in this edition. In the Primary School Certificate (CEP), the district achieved a success rate of 93.89%, compared to 78.92% the previous year, representing an increase of nearly 15 points. Twelve of the 32 schools in the CEB even achieved a 100% success rate, demonstrating the combined efforts of teachers, educational supervisors, and educational communities.

According to the CCEB of Tch©riba, this third edition was marked by several innovations, including the introduction of special prizes and the relocation of the ceremony to the village of Tikan. He praised the commitment of the host population, whose mobilization greatly contributed to the success of the event.

Several actors who supported the initiative received certificates of recognition, among them the promoter of the School Excellence Days, the customs inspector Bl©yo David Bako, as well as the sponsors tax inspector, Adama Kot©, the English teacher, Amadou Boly, and the godmother Mahoua Baoula/Kanyoulou, crowned super teacher in 2025.

The CEB's educational supervisors were also recognized for their contribution to the results achieved. Tribute was also paid to the promoter of non-formal education, whose 28 candidates who took the certification exams achieved a 100% success rate.

The ceremony also recognized the top students. The two youngest students admitted to the CEP, aged nine and ten respectively, each received a scholarship of 25,000 FCFA. The best boys and girls from the different schools received school kits, while the best students from the CEB received additional rewards, including bicycles.

Among teachers, the awards were given according to national performance criteria. The CEB super teacher title went to Yayou Traor© from Z©kuy Primary School A. Having achieved a remarkable result of 86 successful candidates out of 88 presented, he received a certificate of recognition and a Sirius 115 motorcycle. Visibly moved, the winner dedicated his prize to his school and to all the teachers in the community.

Mr. Traor© stressed that recognition of merit is a powerful motivator for those involved in education and expressed his hope that this initiative would be sustained for the benefit of the greatest number. At the end of the ceremony, organizers, partners, and beneficiaries reaffirmed their commitment to continue promoting academic excellence in the community. An ambition fueled by the encouraging results recorded this year and driven by the hope of seeing more students and teachers join the ranks of CEB Tch©riba laureates in the years to come.
