Mouhoun Community in Tcheriba Embraces Christmas with a Focus on Sharing

Mouhoun: The Christian community of the International Center for Evangelization (CIE) in Tcheriba celebrated Christmas with a special focus on children, emphasizing themes of love and sharing. The event took place on December 25, 2025, as part of a month-long initiative titled "December, month of dynamic compassion."

According to Burkina Information Agency, the activities of the month offered the faithful an opportunity to revisit teachings centered on love and sharing. Pastor Marcellin Bonzi explained that compassion is intrinsically linked to love, which is a fundamental aspect of God's nature. He emphasized that as God's children through Christ, embodying these values is essential.

In line with this theme, the church organized a fraternal meal for the neighborhood, placing special emphasis on children, for whom the Christmas celebration holds unique significance. The initiative aimed to create an environment of play and togetherness for the children, instilling in them values of love, tolerance, and acceptance.

Pastor Bonzi highlighted that the goal was to offer a setting where children could learn to live harmoniously, embracing the differences among them, much like Christ's acceptance of all. The event, though modest, was impactful, as reflected in the joy and smiles on the children's faces.

This initiative is not the first of its kind for the CIE of Tcheriba. In the previous year, they organized a similar fraternal meal for internally displaced individuals in the neighborhood, along with messages designed to encourage resilience amidst their challenges.
