Mouhoun/Baccalaureate 2025 Session Sees 7,843 Candidates in Boucle du Mouhoun

Mouhoun: The governor of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, Babo Pierre Bassinga, launched the 2025 baccalaureate exams at the Dédougou provincial high school, where 7,843 candidates, including 4,038 girls, are set to compete for the diploma. According to Burkina Information Agency, the exams began on June 24, 2025, with candidates spread across 33 juries in various provinces. The breakdown includes 3,805 boys and is conducted under the supervision of regional authorities. Before the exams commenced, officials visited examination rooms to motivate candidates. Governor Bassinga advised students to stay focused and be diligent, hoping for high admission rates when results are announced. He also praised the efforts of educational stakeholders and security forces that enabled the exams' smooth execution. Raoul Sanon, the regional director for secondary education, assured that thanks to collaborative support, all necessary arrangements are in place for the exams. He emphasized the importance of integrity and urged candidates to avoid fraud, stating that success is measured by both results and values upheld. The session statistics show 7,591 candidates registered for general education in series A4, D, and C, 131 for the technological BAC in F3 and G2 series, and 121 for the professional BAC with specializations like Agri-food, Electrotechnical, and Motor Vehicle Maintenance. The provinces are divided among Balé, Banwa, Kossi, Mouhoun, Nayala, and Sourou with respective numbers of candidates, indicating a decline from the previous year, which had 8,423 candidates.
