Moscow Supports Direct US Iran Talks on Nuclear Program Kremlin

Moscow: Moscow welcomes direct negotiations between the United States and Iran on the nuclear program, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday. "Of course, because we have repeatedly said that we are in favor of resolving the problem of the Iranian nuclear dossier through political and diplomatic measures. If this is the case, it can only be welcomed," Peskov told reporters.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Kremlin's statement highlights Russia's preference for diplomatic and political solutions in addressing the Iranian nuclear issue. The encouragement of direct dialogue between the US and Iran aligns with Russia's long-standing approach to international conflicts, particularly concerning nuclear proliferation.

The Kremlin's stance comes amid ongoing global discussions about Iran's nuclear ambitions and efforts to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Russia's support for direct talks may influence diplomatic dynamics, given its role as a key player in international negotiations involving Iran.
