Moscow: Russian diplomatic spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated on Thursday that “democracy in France has become wild.” She made these remarks in response to the five-year prison sentence and loss of voting rights for a similar period requested against Marine Le Pen, the president of the National Rally (RN) parliamentary group.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Zakharova also mentioned Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, who is suspected by Paris of illegal activities.
