K©n©dougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Morolaba commune, Germain Mien, presided over the launch of sports activities for the Basic Education District (CEB) of the said locality on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The opening match saw the Morolaba B school team defeat Morolaba A by a score of 1-0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of the Morolaba Basic Education District (CCEB), Lassan© Sawadogo, praised the strong mobilization of authorities and stakeholders in the education system around this activity. He expressed his gratitude to the municipality and to the sponsor for their constant support in promoting sports activities in schools.

According to CCEB Sawadogo, sport remains an important lever for promoting health, discipline and cohesion among students. In turn, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Morolaba, Germain Mien, congratulated all education stakeholders for their commitment to the development of learners.

He emphasized the essential role of sport in the holistic development of the child and urged students to engage in sporting activities in a spirit of fair play, brotherhood, and mutual respect. Mr. Hien also reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at promoting education and youth development.

The ceremony concluded with the official launch of sporting activities, marked by the symbolic kick-off of the first match between the teams from Morolaba A and Morolaba B schools. At the end of the match, the Morolaba B school team won with a score of 1 goal to 0.
