Morocco Increases Agriculture Ministry Budget to $2.2 Billion

Rabat – Morocco is set to boost its Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests budget to 22.62 billion dirhams ($2.2 billion), marking a 3% increase from the previous financial year.

According to Africa News Agency, the Department of Agriculture will receive 13.67 billion dirhams ($1.3 billion), accounting for 60% of the total budget. The funding will primarily be allocated towards irrigation, development of agricultural land, enhancing agricultural production sectors, and focusing on health security, education, training, and research.
