Moogho Naaba Baongho Donates to D¨m¨ Sira Campaign and Faso Mebo Initiative

Burkina: His Majesty the Moogho Naaba Baongho supported the 'D¨m¨ Sira' solidarity campaign on Tuesday, providing food and non-food items. The traditional leader also donated equipment for the Faso Mebo initiative.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister of Family and Solidarity, Lieutenant-Colonel Pelagie Passowende Kabre/Kabore, received a donation from Moogho Naaba Baongho at the royal court. The donation included 300 buckets, mats, blankets, kettles, 40 bags of parboiled rice, two tons of imported rice, and ten cartons of soap, aimed at assisting the D¨m¨ Sira campaign.

The Minister, leading a delegation, expressed gratitude to the Moogho Naaba Baongho for his contribution, which is expected to aid many vulnerable people in Burkina Faso. She emphasized that the donation strengthens the department's capacity to support widows, orphans, internally displaced persons, and others affected by the security crisis.

According to her, the donation is part of the national D¨m¨ Sira campaign, initiated on November 15, 2025, by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo. This campaign encourages Burkinab¨ people to embrace indigenous values of solidarity.

The Minister noted that beyond the donation, the Moogho Naaba Baongho's actions serve as a call to fellow citizens to emulate his example.

In addition, His Majesty contributed to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo with 50 wheelbarrows, 100 shovels, 100 rakes, 50 trowels, 160 tons of granite, 160 tons of sand, 20 tons of cement, and a cement mixer.

Commander Zodnoma Ahmed Sakande, the national coordinator of Faso Mebo, praised His Majesty's generosity. He highlighted the importance of collective responsibility towards the presidential initiative by Captain Ibrahim Traore, aimed at urban beautification and development.

The coordinator concluded by acknowledging that His Majesty has consistently supported the organization with blessings and prayers.
