Kourittenga: The president of the national commission of the confederations of Sahel States, Bassolma Bazi©, led a conference on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Koup©la, focusing on the momentum of the revolution in the AES space. The conference, themed “The revolutionary momentum in the AES space for sovereignty and true social progress: state of play, challenges and perspectives,” aimed to address the ongoing changes and challenges within the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized by the provincial directorate responsible for secondary education in Kourittenga. The initiative was well-received by various stakeholders, including constituted bodies, educators, students, and engaged citizens, for its focus on involving young people in discussions regarding the future of the Sahel states.
Dieudonn© Belemsigri, the provincial director in charge of secondary education in Kourittenga, emphasized that the initiative seeks to raise awareness among young people about issues of sovereignty and socio-political transformation in the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) region. He highlighted the critical role of education in this process, noting that young individuals require ideological training to understand the vision of the AES.
Belemsigri further stated that the goal is to enable young people to comprehend their role and responsibility in the struggle for the emancipation of their country and all member states of the ESA.
Moctar Ilboudo, the High Commissioner of Kourittenga province, also praised the conference’s theme for its relevance. He remarked that the revolutionary momentum in the ESA countries is a hopeful movement for sovereignty and social progress, which deserves significant attention and support.
