Solenzo – On Thursday, October 19, 2023, the High Commissioner of the Banwa province, Oumarou Sandwidi, installed Mohamed Ouédraogo as the provincial director of water and sanitation in a ceremony held in Solenzo.

According to a new release by Burkina Information Agency, Ouédraogo takes over the role following an interim directorate that lasted nearly three years. The interim management period saw the construction of eight community boreholes, 450 latrines, four water bags, and eight standpipes in the commune of Solenzo. Upon taking office, Ouédraogo thanked the Minister in charge of Water and pledged to prioritize access to clean drinking water for the population. High Commissioner Sandwidi urged colleagues to support Ouédraogo in accomplishing his mission.
